Character Lore: Before becoming Kokushibo, he was Michikatsu Tsugikuni, a highly skilled Demon Slayer and the older twin brother of Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Although Michikatsu dedicated himself to swordsmanship, Yoriichi possessed extraordinary natural talent and ultimately developed Sun Breathing, leaving his older brother consumed by envy and the desire to surpass him. Unable to master Sun Breathing himself, Michikatsu developed Moon Breathing as his own fighting style.

After awakening a Demon Slayer Mark and learning that marked swordsmen were expected to die young, Michikatsu’s fear of death intensified his obsession with preserving his skill and surpassing Yoriichi. When Muzan Kibutsuji offered him the opportunity to become a demon, he abandoned his humanity and eventually rose to become Upper Rank One, a position he held for centuries.

Standing approximately 12 inches tall, this figure is crafted from PVC and plastic in a tall character-focused presentation. Kokushibo’s canonical height is approximately 190 cm / 6'3", placing a 12-inch upright figure close to a 1/6 scale classification.

The sculpt highlights Kokushibo’s unusual and immediately recognizable demon anatomy. His six eyes, dark facial markings, long flowing hair, and stern expression give the figure a distinctly supernatural presence, while his exposed upper body emphasizes his broad shoulders, muscular chest, defined abdomen, and lean swordsman build.

His layered purple-and-black clothing and traditional hakama-style lower garments reinforce the samurai influence behind the character. Rather than relying on excessive effects, the display keeps the focus on Kokushibo himself, giving the figure a commanding silhouette that works especially well alongside other Upper Rank demons.

Kokushibo’s swordsmanship is one of his defining traits. His Moon Breathing evolved over centuries of demonic life, combining his extraordinary combat experience with techniques derived from the Breathing Styles he once practiced as a human. His status as Upper Rank One reflects both his raw demonic strength and hundreds of years spent refining his swordsmanship.

His final battle during the Infinity Castle pits him against Muichiro Tokito, Genya Shinazugawa, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima, forcing Kokushibo to confront the consequences of the choices he made in pursuit of strength and immortality. His connection to Muichiro is especially significant, as Kokushibo reveals that the young Mist Hashira is descended from his human bloodline.
