Two dangerous girls from completely different worlds.

One moonlit forest.

No backup.

Princess Mononoke vs. Yuno Gasai.

San enters the fight with her spear, dagger, incredible agility, survival instincts, and the wolf she has fought beside for years.

Across from her stands Yuno Gasai — armed with an axe, a knife, frightening determination, and the unpredictable survival instincts that carried her through The Future Diary.

For this Showdown, we’re using their standard portrayals and abilities.

So now the question goes where it belongs:

In your hands.

The Matchup

Princess Mononoke — San

Raised by wolves and completely at home in the wilderness, San is fast, aggressive, and extremely difficult to corner.

She brings:

• Spear and dagger combat
• Exceptional agility
• Forest survival instincts
• Strong close-range fighting ability
• Wolf-assisted mobility
• Fearless aggression
• Home-field advantage in natural terrain

The forest is where San is most dangerous.

Yuno is entering:

her territory.

Yuno Gasai

Yuno may not have San’s upbringing...

but surviving a death game tends to teach a person a few things.

Yuno brings:

• Axe and knife proficiency
• Strong survival instincts
• Experience fighting human opponents
• Improvisation
• Ambush tactics
• High pain tolerance
• Extreme determination
• Complete unpredictability

Yuno does not need a fair fight.

She needs:

an opening.

And once she sees one, she is rarely afraid to take it.

The Real Question

This matchup may come down to who controls the distance.

San’s spear gives her a major reach advantage.

Her wolf gives Yuno another threat to watch.

And fighting inside a forest heavily favors San’s movement and experience.

But what happens if Yuno gets past the spear?

Can she separate San from her wolf?

Can her unpredictability force San into a mistake?

Or does San’s superior mobility and familiarity with the battlefield keep Yuno from ever getting close enough?

And most importantly:

Who is still standing when it’s over?
