Executioner Majini vs. Pyramid Head — Who Wins the Showdown?

Executioner Majini vs. Pyramid Head — Who Wins the Showdown?

Zenpai Association

Two executioners.

Two massive weapons.

One brutal battlefield.

Executioner Majini vs. Pyramid Head.

On one side stands one of the most intimidating enemies from Resident Evil 5 — an enormous Majini carrying a weapon capable of dropping opponents with a single devastating swing.

Across from him is one of horror gaming’s most recognizable monsters: Pyramid Head, the relentless executioner of Silent Hill 2, dragging the infamous Great Knife behind him.

No backup.

No escape.

No distractions.

For this Showdown, we’re treating this as a neutral battlefield using their standard game portrayals and weapons.

So now the question goes where it belongs:

In your hands.

The Matchup

Executioner Majini

The Executioner Majini isn’t subtle.

He doesn’t need to be.

This towering infected enemy from Resident Evil 5 relies on overwhelming strength, durability, and a massive axe-like executioner weapon capable of covering a huge area with each swing.

Executioner Majini brings:

  • Massive physical strength
  • High durability
  • Wide-reaching axe attacks
  • Devastating overhead slams
  • Powerful grabs
  • Surprisingly dangerous retaliation attacks
  • A berserk state when heavily injured

In Resident Evil 5, his heavier attacks can leave the player near death, while a failed escape from his grab can end the fight immediately. His swings are destructive enough to hit enemies around him as well as the player.

He’s slow compared with more agile enemies, but once that weapon starts moving...

You really don’t want to be standing in front of it.

Pyramid Head

Then there’s Pyramid Head.

And this is where things get strange.

Pyramid Head isn’t simply another oversized monster roaming Silent Hill.

In Silent Hill 2, he exists as a manifestation connected to James Sunderland’s guilt and desire for punishment, making his existence much more psychological and supernatural than the Executioner Majini’s.

Pyramid Head brings:

  • Supernatural strength
  • Extreme resilience
  • The Great Knife
  • Great Spear
  • Powerful grabs
  • Brutal close-range attacks
  • Relentless pursuit
  • A very complicated relationship with conventional “death”

His signature Great Knife is enormously heavy, yet Pyramid Head can wield it with one hand. Its overhead attack is capable of killing James outright, and the weapon itself is described as extremely powerful despite being slow and cumbersome.

And unlike the Executioner Majini...

The biggest question may not be how much damage Pyramid Head can take.

It may be whether normal physical damage can truly finish him at all.

The Real Question

This fight isn’t simply:

Big axe vs. big knife.

The Executioner Majini has one major advantage:

He fights like an actual combat monster.

He charges.

He swings.

He retaliates.

He becomes increasingly dangerous when hurt.

And he has enough raw strength to make almost any clean hit matter.

Pyramid Head is different.

His attacks are slower and more deliberate, but his supernatural nature creates a huge problem for the Majini.

Can Executioner Majini actually put Pyramid Head down permanently?

Or does Pyramid Head simply absorb the punishment and keep walking?

On the other hand...

Could Pyramid Head withstand repeated blows from an opponent strong enough to swing that enormous executioner weapon again and again?

Would the Majini’s berserk aggression overwhelm Pyramid Head before the Great Knife connects?

Can Pyramid Head’s supernatural resilience compensate for his slower movement?

And if both of them land clean hits...

Which executioner falls first?

CAST YOUR VOTE

Pick your winner in the poll.

But just like our other Showdowns:

Don’t vote and disappear.

Tell us WHY your fighter wins in the comments.

Strength matters.

Durability matters.

Weapons matter.

Lore matters.

And this matchup has one especially important argument:

How much should Pyramid Head’s supernatural nature count in a neutral fight?

If you think Executioner Majini wins, explain how he overpowers Pyramid Head.

If you think Pyramid Head wins, explain whether the Majini actually has a way to permanently defeat him.

And:

“Pyramid Head is cooler.”

or

“Majini has a bigger axe.”

isn’t enough. 😂
