Zenpai Association Catalog Revamp: Know What You’re Collecting
Zenpai AssociationShare
Inventory Update — September 2026
Zenpai Association is growing, and before we start rolling out our next major wave of figures, collectibles, and new product categories, we’re taking time to improve something just as important:
The products already inside the Association.
Over time, our catalog has grown substantially. Some listings were created under older formats, some contain limited supplier information, and others simply don’t represent the level of detail and professionalism we want Zenpai Association to deliver today.
That’s changing.
We’re currently working through an extensive catalog-wide product revamp designed around one simple idea:
Know What You’re Collecting.
We want customers to have a much clearer understanding of a collectible before it ever reaches their cart.
That means better descriptions, better product images, more consistent specifications, clearer sizing, improved packaging information, and greater transparency throughout the shopping experience.
This isn’t just a visual refresh.
We’re rebuilding the way Zenpai Association presents its catalog.
More Detailed Figure Descriptions
A collectible figure is more than a character name and a height measurement.
The outfit. The pose. The expression. The sculpt. The colors. The character behind the design.
Those details are part of why collectors fall in love with a figure in the first place.
Our updated listings are being rewritten to provide much more extensive information about each figure’s appearance, outfit, pose, expression, design details, overall presentation, and collector appeal.
Product imagery is now specifically reviewed for those visual details before the description is written.
We want the listing to actually describe the figure you’re looking at, rather than relying on generic supplier text that could apply to almost anything.
Character Lore Is Joining the Listings
Collectors often aren’t just buying a figure because it looks good.
They’re buying a character they love.
That’s why many of our upgraded figure listings will now include a dedicated Character Lore section.
These short lore segments can introduce the character’s role, personality, abilities, relationships, reputation, or importance within their series while keeping the product page focused on the collectible itself. Character information is verified rather than invented.
Whether you already know everything about the character or you’ve just discovered them through the figure, we want the listing to give the collectible more personality and context.
A More Consistent Product Specification System
One of the biggest parts of the revamp is standardizing the information underneath our figure descriptions.
Depending on the individual collectible, listings may now include:
Character: Character Name
Series: Anime, game, movie, or franchise
Version: Specific version or outfit when applicable
Edition: Remastered Edition or Original Edition
Material: PVC / Plastic, Resin, Soft PVC, or other applicable material
Approximate Height: Clearly measured and displayed in inches
Figure Type: Collectible Display Figure, Large Collectible Figure, Chibi Figure, Bust Figure, and other applicable classifications
Features: Confirmed special functionality when applicable
Packaging Type: Original Box, OPP Bag, Unbranded Box, or available packaging options
Not every product needs every specification.
If a figure doesn’t have a confirmed version, we won’t create one just to fill space. If a product doesn’t have an actual special feature, we won’t manufacture a feature for the specification list either.
Our catalog standard is designed around useful information rather than unnecessary filler.
Clearer Original & Remastered Edition Identification
Another major focus is making edition information easier to understand.
Zenpai Association carries both Original Edition and Remastered Edition collectibles, and we want that distinction to be much clearer throughout our catalog.
Under our updated system, Edition information is becoming a standard part of figure specifications so customers can quickly identify what type of collectible they’re viewing.
We’re also working to improve the visual side of that distinction.
More Accurate Images for Remastered Figures
Product information is only half of the experience.
The images matter just as much.
As part of this revamp, we’re updating more of our Remastered Edition figure imagery so customers can better understand the collectible they are actually purchasing.
Some older listings may still contain imagery originally used as a design reference or from an earlier version of the product presentation.
Our goal is to gradually replace or supplement those images with photos that more accurately represent the current remastered collectible being offered.
We do not want customers purchasing a figure under the impression that an image represents something different from what they will receive.
Where available, we’ll also continue adding:
Additional viewing angles
Closer detail shots
Back and side views
Accessory images
Packaging photos
Updated real-product photography
The goal is simple:
The more clearly you can see the product before purchasing, the better.
Better Size & Figure Classification
Not every figure belongs in the same category.
As the catalog is updated, we’re becoming much more consistent about how different collectibles are classified based on their actual size and design.
For example, our standard fixed-pose figure categories distinguish between Collectible Display Figures, Large Collectible Figures, and Large / Oversized Collectible Figures rather than applying the same generic label to every product.
Measurements are also being standardized with inches displayed first, making it easier to understand how much shelf space a figure may actually occupy.
Scale information is also being reviewed more carefully when enough reliable information is available.
A 6-inch figure and a 14-inch figure can create completely different display experiences, and the listing should make that clear.
Better Packaging Information
Packaging can matter almost as much as the collectible itself — especially for collectors.
Our updated listings are being reviewed for clearer packaging information so customers can better understand whether a product is supplied with options such as:
Original Box
OPP Bag
Unbranded Box
Multiple selectable packaging options
Where multiple options are available, we want customers to understand exactly what they’re selecting before checkout.
Our internal catalog standard also requires packaging information to be based on the actual supplied product information rather than assumptions.
Less Marketplace Filler. More Useful Information.
Another major part of the project is cleaning up older supplier-generated product copy.
Marketplace listings can sometimes include unnecessary language, inconsistent claims, vague promotional wording, or information that doesn't actually help someone understand the collectible.
We’re removing that.
Our current catalog standard focuses on:
Accurate product information
Consistent catalog structure
Strong searchability
No invented details
If a piece of information cannot be reasonably verified, we would rather leave it out than turn an assumption into a product claim.
That applies to things like versions, functionality, accessories, licensing claims, manufacturers, special-edition status, and other product details.
Clearer Variations & What Your Purchase Includes
Products with multiple options are also receiving additional attention.
If a listing allows customers to choose between several characters, styles, or sets, we want the page to clearly explain what one purchase actually includes.
A gallery displaying several figures should never create unnecessary confusion about whether the customer is receiving one selected figure or an entire group.
Our updated structure requires selectable variations to clearly communicate what is included with each purchase.
See Something We Missed? Tell Us.
Even after the primary catalog revamp is completed, Zenpai Association will continue evolving.
With a large and growing catalog, there may occasionally be an older listing that still needs another look.
If you notice something that seems wrong or outdated, please tell us.
That could include:
- A product description that appears inaccurate or outdated
- An image that doesn't seem to represent the figure correctly
- A listing that could use additional product photos
- Missing or unclear specifications
- Incorrect sizing or packaging information
- A figure that appears to need an updated description
- Something about a collectible that simply doesn't look right
Customers are always welcome to contact us and point us toward the product.
We’ll review the listing and make updates when appropriate.
Collectors know these characters and collectibles too, and we’d rather have someone raise a question than allow information we can improve to sit unnoticed.
What Happens During the Revamp?
This is a large project, and it won't happen overnight.
You may currently see some Zenpai Association listings using our new detailed format while others still use an older product structure.
That doesn't mean they've been forgotten.
It simply means they haven't reached their turn yet.
We’re working through the catalog piece by piece so we can properly review the figure, imagery, dimensions, specifications, packaging, description, and search information rather than rushing through hundreds of products just to say they were updated.
Accuracy matters more than speed.
What Comes After?
This revamp is the foundation for the next stage of Zenpai Association.
As more of the existing catalog reaches the new standard, we'll be able to shift more attention toward bringing even more into the Association:
New figures.
New characters.
New fandoms.
New product categories.
New collectibles.
There is a lot more we want to introduce.
But before filling the shelves with what comes next, we want to make sure the collectibles already here receive the presentation they deserve.
Better descriptions.
Better images.
Better organization.
Better transparency.
Know What You’re Collecting.
Welcome to the next stage of Zenpai Association.
